Farmers markets and agriculture are considered essential businesses by Governor Inslee under the current Pandemic. To continue to operate the Duvall Farmers Market we have worked with the City of Duvall and the King County Health Department. We have gotten advice from Washington State Farmers Market Association and the Farmers Market Coalition (a national organization of farmers markets.)  This has allowed us to quickly learn from other farmers markets across both the state and the nation.

The Pandemic has caused us all to change our behaviors and much of our daily lives for the safety of all. Farmers Markets are no exception to all those changes and while many of us will dearly miss the social gathering that farmers markets were – we will likely have to wait for a vaccine to be developed before we can do that again.  So as customers of the market we want you to come to the market and purchase the foods you adore and take them home quickly to minimize everyone’s exposure to everyone else. We are limited to 2 shoppers per vendor in the market at one time so just like grocery stores have limited capacity.

In the last few weeks test data has shown that there are many people who have no symptoms but are infected with Covid-19. For everyone’s protection everyone should wear a mask while in public to keep the germs inside the mask. Even talking without a mask on can spread the virus.

  1. Stay at home if you are sick.
  2. Please wear a face mask to protect our farmers and your neighbors.
  3. Bring a grocery list to minimize time at the market.
  4. Limit one shopper per household and leave pets at home too.
  5. Wash or sanitize your hands before entering the farmers market.
  6. Keep a minimum of 6′ between shoppers, yourself, and vendors
  7. DO NOT TOUCH PRODUCE or anything else for sale – the vendors will serve you.
  8. Reusable bags are ok for you to load – but vendors must not touch them.
  9. Eating in the market is not permitted
  10. Offer to shop at the farmers market for friends or neighbors who are unable to attend.
